Sueko Oshimoto has worked in Hollywood motion picture industry as a costume designer. Throughout the years, Sueko has designed dresses for celebrities such as Miranda Kerr, Carmen Electra and Gwen Stefani as well as costuming music videos for Sean Paul and DJ Diplo. Sueko was honored to be selected her work for ‘VOGUE Japan 15th Anniversary Collector’s Edition’ alongside strong influential photographer Camilla Akrans, Sissy Vian and other artists. She also provided her dress designs for fashion film ‘Kiss of A Siren’, in which she created more than 20 kimono dresses and spectacular creations, she won Best Costume Design at La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival 2014 which is the Cannes of the fashion film world. Her fashions have graced the pages of Vogue Italia, Vogue Germany, Vogue Japan and L'OFFICIEL India.
In 2015, Sueko Oshimoto decided it was time to bring the essence of her kimono dress brand to life in her studio where located in North Hollywood. Sueko begun as one of the first kimono inspired focused contemporary dress lines. Genlux magazine featured Sueko 2015 collection as the first story focused on one designer. The Sueko brand mixes a High-Fashion feel with an Oriental vibe. Designer Sueko Oshimoto has an eye for color and cutting that has led to an obsessed following. We put a lot of love into each of our colorful and unique pieces to take you from the party to Tokyo. Customers can expect contemporary cuts and a slight kimono inspired design influence. |
